Susie Pasillas Prior

On the evening of November 11, 2016 Susie went home to be with the Lord.  She passed away after a lengthy illness surrounded by her family.  Susie was a long time resident of Santa Maria.  She was born in Guadalupe and was a graduate of Santa Maria High School class of 1959.  After High School she married Richard Campas and they had three children.  Cynthia Chavarria of Santa Maria, Christina Campas of San Diego, and Richie Campas of Maui Hawaii.  She had a long career in social services where she had a tremendous impact in her community.  She was always loved where ever she went.  Susie loved to laugh and make others laugh.  To know Susie was to love her.  She loved to dance, cook and listen to music.  Her favorite pastime was to simply just walk on the beach, but most of all she loved her family and friends, especially her BONCO pals that she kept close with her for over 40 years.  Susie is survived by her three children, eight grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren and also one brother and two sisters.  Services were held at Orcutt Christian Church.
