Marvin Fleming VIEW PROFILE

Marvin "Marv" LeRoy Fleming, 77, of Santa Maria passed away on December 4, 2017. Marvin was born in Santa Maria to Johnny & Faye Fleming on February 14, 1940.  He was a long-time resident of Santa Maria who attended El Camino Jr. High and fraduated from Santa Maria High School in 1959.  He married Barbara Jean Nunes Fleming on March 21, 1969 in Santa Maria.  He worked as a Field Clerk and Sr. Field Clerk for PG&G and was a member of the I.B.E.W. 1245 Union for 42 years.  He was a veteran and served in the U.S. Navy abord the USS Prairie AD-15 as a Lithographer.  Marvin was involved in the Santa Maria Elks Club, Sunrise 4-H Club as its sheep leader, Santa Maria Youth baseball * softball coach and St. Joseph High School Softball helping to build the teams softball field.  Marvin enjoyed barbequing and spending time with his family and friends.  Marvin was an avid Los Angeles Dodger and Rams fan.

Marvin is survived by his wife of 48 years, Barbara Fleming, his son, Jody Rush and his spouse Kris Rush.  His daughter, Raquel Fleming-Bradley and her spouse Cheryle Fleming-Bradley, granddaughter, Jessica Hummel, grandson, Tanner Bradley, great-grandson, Jace Hummel and his beloved dog, Kelly.

Marvin  is preceded in death by his father, Johnny Flemming (1986), mother Faye Fleming (1989) and sister Joyce Franz (2009).
