Lorene and I grew up together. Just across the street from each other. She and her sisters and I used to dress there little brother up as a girl and used corn silks to make him long blond hair. We giggled a lot. We put on a talent show one time and Mary Jane came to that one. Sonny was dressed as a girl and sang a song. Lorene was already married when she passed away. I believe she had a couple of children too. The number may be wrong. She was happy with her life. She and I were good friends too.
I remember the Minor family back when I lived on Hobbs Ln. Sonny and I dated a couple times and then my parents put their foot down. I remember the family being very close and welcoming. I went to dinner at Sonny's house one summer evening and it was a friday so knowing I was a Catholic, they fried me fish eventhough they were having meat. I was a little embarassed because they had gone to the trouble but made an impression on me. A memory that I had forgotten, thank you for taking me back.
