Santiago was born on May 15, 1940 in Holtville, CA.  He was the oldest son of Santiago and Maria Arguijo, Sr. who moved their family to Santa Maria when Santiago was a teenager. he later moved to Nipomo, CA where he lived happily with his devoted wife of 40 years, Rose.  He passed away unexpectedly on September 21, 2008 at the age of 68 and will be greatly missed.  He was a graduate of Santa Maria High School, Class of 59 and over the years had many occupations including agricultural contractor, bookkeeper, notary and income taxs preparer.  He was a devoted husband, father, and Catholic who attended Mass nearly every weekday.  He was a Dodger and All My Children fan and enjoyed going to the Chumash Casino with his wife . He also enjoyed playing the Lotto everyday.  To some he was a man of few words, but to many he was a good faithful friend.  Santiago leaves is wife Rose, daughters, Jenelle Mullick, Pauline Arellano, and son, Santiago III.  He leaves four brothers, three sisters, grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.  Santiago was preceded in death by his parents Santiago and Maria Arguijo, Sr.
