Memorial services will be held in the Ericson & Brown Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, September 20, 2002 at 6 p.m. for Darrel "Gale" Lowe, 61.  Mr. Lowe was born in Taft on October 4, 1940 and passed away in Taft on September 15, 2002.  Mr. Lowe was raised and educated in Santa Maria.  he served his country in the U.S. Navy.  He worked in the oilfields as a construction foreman for many years and was last employed by Nuevo Energy.  Mr. Lowe was a member of the Taft Petroleum Club and the Taft Sportsman Club.  He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and bowler.

     He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Gerald "Dale" Lowe and his father, Edward Dawson Lowe.  His survivors include his wife, Carol Lowe, his mother Frances Lowe of Yerington, Nevada, his sister and husband Volina and Tom Connolly of Crescent Valley, Nevada and his children, Tina Lowe, Mike Lowe Pait and Darrel Lowe. He is survived by numerous family and friends.  Donations to be made to the American Cancer Society or the Mercy Westside Hospital Memorial foundation.
