A memorial service was held at St. Peter's Episcopal Church for Michael G. "Mickey" Jensen, 55, of Santa maria.  The Rev. George Mackey officiated.  Cremation was requested with private inurnment at a later date.  He died February 2, 1996, in a local hospital.

Mr. Jensen was born September 19, 1940 in Drayton, North Dakota.  He lived in Santa Maria since 1950.  He attended local schools and graduated from Santa Maria High School in 1959.  He worked for the Tri-County News Company as a sales manager since 1966 and was a member of the Santa Maria Elks No. 1538.  He enjoyed golf, gardening and woodworking.  Survisors include his wife, Jerrie Jensen of Santa Maria, a step-daughter, Michelle Romeburg and a step-sn anthony Senter of Santa Maria. A brother Chuck Jensen of Santa Maria and sisters Susan Stover of Santa Maria and Linda Leake of El Dorado Hills.
